Introduction to EtherPad
EtherPad is a web-based word processor that allows people to work together in real time.It allows many people to work on a document at the same time. The changes made by any one person in the document are seen by all the members automatically. EtherPad is a collaborative tool which helps users to work online synchronously as well as asynchronously.
Some of the features are:
ü Multi-person Editing allows more than 5 people to work together and edit a document at the same time.
ü Exporting and Importing files of different formats such as html, doc and pdf.
ü Chat enables all the users to discuss while editing.
ü Colour Coding allows every individual to choose their own colour. The text inserted by users appears highlighted in the colour that they have chosen. This makes it easy to identify the contributions of each member.
